Lithology and Thickness

It is composed at the bottom (10-20 m) of coarse-bedded gray limestones, and at the top of massive white reef limestones. The total thickness of the Lower and Middle Kimmeridgian layers is 380 - 650 m.

By their position in the section, both the Zorkindyk Fm and Dunkeldyk Fm (зоркиндыкская и дунке.пьдыкская свиты) are considered Middle Kimmeridgian. Higher layers of the Upper Jurassic section are absent here.
